Don't want you in my house (you got your wires crossed)
New music from Sweeping Promises, Paris Williams, Mortal Coil / Legalize Homicide, God's Computer, Blu Miles, and more. Plus, gigs and a mournful Racket Rewind.
Alaskan Tapes & Blu Miles - Blank Slate, Open Space (We All Speak In Poems) — I don’t think I can really capture the beauty and genuine calm contained within this short record any better than the liner notes available on the Bandcamp page, so I’ll just point you over there. This listen will improve your day.
Sweeping Promises - “Shooting Shadows” (Sub Pop Records) — after releasing their first two LPs on beloved punk DIY label Feel It Records, Kansas-via-Massachusetts post-punk trio Sweeping Promises steps up to indie’s big league. The band will release its third full-length, You Say I Romanticize, this August via the legendary Sub Pop. And the first single is perhaps one of the most raucous tracks the group has issued yet.
